Cynthia York-Camden MS, RD, LDN
Cynthia York-Camden works as a clinical, registered dietitian in the Southern Illinois area where she also provides wellness consulting to the community. Wellness has always been Cynthia's passion and she enjoys working with clients of all ages to help them feel better and stay well.
In her current position she is known for her healthy grocery shopping tours on the topics of weight management, children's nutrition, diabetes, and heart health. She also provides cooking demonstrations, weight-loss programs, and motivational talks as part of hospitals' community outreach programs.
Cynthia enjoys writing about nutrition and wellness-related topics and is a regular writer for Heartland Women Newzine. She is often interviewed and writes freelance articles for local papers including The Southern Illinoisan. Cynthia has also served as the Nutrition Editor for the Senior Circle Association's acclaimed national magazine where she provided recipe analysis using Nutrabase.
Cynthia attended John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University, where she attained a Master's degree in 1998. She is the past president and website coordinator for the Southern Illinois Dietetic Association. She is a licensed provider of the Balance Program for weight management, and she designs websites to promote the registered dietitian as the nutrition expert.
