Michèle Turcotte earned her bachelor of science degree in nutrition and dietetics from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and her master of science degree (emphasis human nutrition) from the University of Alabama. She earned her certificate of training in adult weight management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).

Michèle has been a food and nutrition expert for over eight years and is president of A Perfect Plate, Inc., a nutrition consulting corporation. She has worked in a wide variety of settings, from a cancer treatment center to hospitals (treating both inpatients and outpatients, providing medical nutrition therapy) to the integrative medicine department of a hospital-based fitness center. Michèle’s specialty areas include diet in diabetes care and heart disease, weight control, vegetarianism, oncology, and all aspects of nutrition in complementary care. Her priority lies in educating the public about living and eating well to improve quality of life. Her passion is to promote wellness and disease prevention through both traditional and alternative approaches. Every individual is unique and can make a difference in how they look, feel, and function through adopting a healthful diet and engaging in regular physical activity. Michèle enjoys giving classes and lectures, writing articles, and researching the diet and lifestyle patterns of other cultures.
