Food Combining Diet
Food combining diets come in many forms. What they do have in common is that they focus on stimulating your metabolism to burn fat quickly. If you were burning fat in a rapid manner, then you would naturally lose weight. On food combining diets, you are restricted to eating specific foods at certain times and you must not mix certain foods.
The Food Combining Plan
One major part of these diets is not allowing proteins to mix with carbohydrates. You should wait at least 4 hours in between meals so as to not mix them. Some diets will have you eat fruit until noon and the focus on other types of food for the remainder of the day. These diets usually last for about 5 weeks and yield varying results.
Problems with food combining diets
One of the biggest problems with food combining diets is that there isn't a lot of proof that they actually work. Another danger with these diets is that you may fall below the desired level of caloric intake. Without scientific backing and with the risk of being unhealthy, these types of diets are shaky at best.

High Fiber Diet
This diet focuses on foods high in fiber. The diet is intended to fill users up without making them gain weight. The high-fiber diet is said to stabilize blood sugar, lower cancer risk and control the appetite. As users will discover, this diet can contain much more than bland oatmeal and other grain. A large variety of healthy and delicious foods are high in fiber, and this diet attempts to highlight them.
Mayo Clinic Plan
The Mayo Clinic Plan offers a lifestyle approach to managing your weight and maintaining it. The plan lets you eat virtually unlimited vegetables and fruits, plus a variety of healthy choices from all of the food groups. It can help lower high blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as reduce your risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. Mayo Clinic experts have developed this plan to help you live a longer, healthier life. Each food group recommends healthy choices for optimum results.
