eDiets Week 5 Day 5 - Quarter Pound or Quarter Pounder?

My last couple of entries have been full of clues into my background so that you can understand my psychology and how it relates to my diet.  As you know by now, I am a very motivated and focused person.  Goal setting is not an option, but a way of life for me.  Like anyone, I get very tired and burn out on things that are not so fun - like trying to lose weight.  This week has been a little rough for me because I have been pretty tired from long hours at work.  The weight loss has slowed.  The initial shock that the human body goes through when it does something new has now passed and I have fallen into a routine.

The thing about a routine is that it is easier to do mindlessly, but can often leave us with little passion left in the activity if we slack off just a hair.  This week I have found myself thinking about the end goal and being done with the weight "loss" and on to the weight "maintenence" section.  This has made me overlook my short term goals to get me to the end and I have been slacking.

In week 3, I hit the below 176lb mark.  I have been hovering in that range since then - although I am down to 175.25 today.  My halfway goal is only a quarter pound away.  I am struggling with trying to find a way to change up my routine of working out or my eating routine to get me back on the weight loss path.  I could let this get me down and I could give up and go to McDonald's to get a "Quarter Pounder" or three, or I can re-evaluate my diet plan or workout plan and see what happens.  This weekend, I will focus on being more precisely on the eDiets suggestions and try to rest in order to reinvigorate my energy.  Tune in next week and see if I can beat my body at it's own preservation game.
