Day 15- Baby Steps

Nothing really new to report.  I had a lot going on at work today so I actually forgot to eat lunch.  I did have a cup of Goldfish this afternoon.  I have found that I usually don’t have an appetite when I get very busy and I often forget to eat.  This unfortunately leads to me eating larger portions later on in the day.  One interesting thing is the change in how quickly I consume my daily Dr. Pepper.  When I arrive at work, I head straight to the office kitchen and get my drink.  It used to be that I had finished it in about one hour.  Today, I got my drink when I arrived at work and 8 hours later, it’s still half full.  It’s hard for me to change habits, but I’ve slowly made progress.
The same can be said for my diet.  I’m not the all-star Sonoma Dieter, but I’m slowly making changes.  I have incorporated more fruits/veggies and grains into my diet and have decreased the amount of sugars and processed foods.  I need to increase my exercise program.  It’s easy for me to make excuses like it’s too hot outside, but I know it’s good for me in the long run.  It’s all about taking it one step at a time.
Breakfast:  Mac & Cheese, Dr. Pepper

Lunch:  Cup of Goldfish, Water

Dinner: Tomato Soup
