Day 103: Familiar Surroundings

All that water I drink at work is really affecting me.  I have about 3-4 bottles each work day.  As soon as I walk in the door each morning, I head straight to the kitchen & grab a water.  As a result, I have noticed that on the weekends, I am craving water.  We do not have bottled water at our house so each time requires me to go to the sink & fill up a new glass.

In addition to the water increase, I have been very conscious of my eating.  After coming back from seeing my grandmother in Alabama, I discovered how tempting it was to fall back into my old ways of mindlessly eating while watching TV.  At grandma’s, we all ate breakfast, dinner, and supper together at the kitchen table.  Amazing concept.  Granted that most of these meals were country type meals- not the ones you would find on the Sonoma Diet.  Now, I was back in familiar surroundings with our dining table covered in stuff for our future  garage sale.  The closest table was the coffee table which is conveniently in front of the TV.  I make sure that I only eat half a bowl and stop for 10-15 min before I continue eating.  This time allows me to determine if I’m still hungry.  With this tactic, I have not yet picked that bowl back up to finish eating.
