Day 110: Always get a to-go box
After church yesterday, I had lunch with my parents at one of our favorite Italian restaurants. I successfully overcame my cravings for Penne Alfredo and had a fabulous lunch portioned salad instead. To further reduce fat, I ordered the vinagrette salad dressing on the side. I even skipped the bread. Sonoma Dieters be proud! As usual, I ordered water. My family and friends have noticed that instead of always ordering a soft drink when we eat out as I had done for years, I now only order water. This is healthier and it is free. When ordering an entree, I try very hard to always leave enough for a to-go box. To do this, I try to fill up on water. I tend to need a water refill well before my meal is served and another refill during the meal. I also feel like I am saving money by paying one price and getting two separate meals out of it.
