Day 132: Eating better on the holiday weekend

I worked out again today.  I especially needed this after a long holiday filled with Mexican food.  I tried again to conscioulsy think about my Sonoma Diet and watch my portion sizes.  I think I did well with this.  I found that especially for queso (my weakness), it really helps if I first pour a small amount into a little bowl.  I only eat the amount in the small bowl and that’s it.  People were surprised when I refused more queso.  I also had fajitas for 3 meals this weekend.  I limited the sour cream and increased the pico de gallo.  Sonoma Diet encourages enhacing meals with spice so I think the pico counted.
After work, I spent 10 minutes running on the treadmill and then did 100 reps on the inner thigh machine and 100 reps on the outer thigh machine (5 sets, 20 reps).  Boy, was I feeling it.  For motivation, I imagined that with every move, fat was burning away.  I have also found that I really enjoy working out on these types of machines much more than running.  I like the challenge and love the fact that I’m not dripping sweat while doing them.
