DAY 11: Progress?

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Thu, 05/18/2006 - 8:12pm.

Okay, it has almost been two weeks, and I finally weighed my self. The Zone Diet recommends weighing yourself once a week, so I decided to put my new scale to work. At 208, I have dropped a whole pound; however I am not sure I weighed at the right time. In fact, I actually have no clue when you are supposed to weigh yourself. If anyone has any ideas, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard you should weigh yourself in the morning, but that seems like cheating, since you have not eaten for quite some time. If you weigh yourself before bed the numbers could be skewed since you have been eating all day. Maybe weighing yourself in the middle of the day is the most accurate. That way you are not lying to yourself and honesty with ones self is paramount. The only way to achieve this is to have a scale at work though, and the last time I checked employers don’t provide weighing scales. This could lead to depression and low moral in many cases. I am now back to morning or night. Time to respond my friends!

In High School I was on the football team, and we wanted to weigh in as heavy as possible. Now I am exactly the opposite. Muscle is heavier than fat, which is what I have learned throughout my life, and the Zone Diet reaffirms this and warns that even though the scale my not show weight loss, taking your measurement will. I think I will take my measurements and track those as well. If anyone has tumble with this dilemma feel free to enlighten me.
