DAY 40:STAGE TWO

I wanted to recap where I was in the Zone Diet process.  I am currently near the end of what the Zone Diet calls Stage Two. I am supposed to be past this stage, but I tend to be a slow learner.  This is the stage where I am supposed to get deeper into the Zone.  My goal during this stage is to learn how to adjust the diet to my own body.  This is the time when I must get serious on the food issue.  My last blog illustrated how I was finding ways to stay on track, but I must have more self control.  I believe that when I do this, I will see even greater results.

The Zone Diet lists certain steps that are key during this stage.  These “Action Steps” include: 1. Determine how much protein I require each day, 2. Consume this determined amount, 3. Balance my protein and carbohydrates at every meal and snack,
4. Add some extra monounsaturated fat to every meal 5. Time my meals so I never go more than five hours without eating.  These are 5 short term goals I have currently been attempting to conquer.  I have been using the Zone Count method to limit the protein, carbohydrates, and fats I consume.  My goals are to eat consistently, control my portions and lose weight.  This will ultimately help me in every aspect of my life.
