DAY 67:The First Meal of the Day

Last night I bought something new for breakfast.  I got some yogurt and granola to take to work.  I don’t eat breakfast until I get to work, so I need something that can be easily warmed or prepared in the break room.  Both are healthy foods, so I figured I would give it a try.  My only concern was that it would not satisfy my hunger.
It definitely hit the spot for breakfast this morning, so I might consider this as a permanent breakfast option.  The Zone Diet recommends a meat/protein, and I think the granola may substitute for it.
The affordability is not that big of a problem either.  The yogurt is cheap, but the granola is not.  In the end, they balance each other out.  I am thinking about adding a bit of fruit to the meal as well. I bet a half of a banana or some strawberries, or peaches would be great.  I will probably try that out next week.  This will also work out as a snack between meals.  I like the fact that granola and yogurt is light on the stomach and does not drain you or make you thirsty because of excess salt and preservatives.  I would definitely recommend this as a breakfast or light snack.
