DAY 84: Kicking the Habit
I know what this sounds like, but I wanted to give an update on a previous entry I made. A few entries ago I told you about my food addictions and that chips and salsa is my downfall. I literally ate the combination almost everyday either at home or at a restaurant. My addiction came from working so long at a Tex Mex restaurant, and I still followed my craving long after my departure from waiting tables.
When I wrote the entry concerning this topic, I had been working on my solution for about a week, and I am proud to report that I have had chips and salsa only twice since. Both of these occasions were at a restaurant, and just the other day I made a conscience decision to go to a restaurant that was not Tex Mex, so there would be no temptation. I am not saying they are bad, but for me I need to cut back and taking it out of the picture all together is the best way for me to control myself. This must sound corny, but I am really trying to eat healthy and this was definitely a hindrance for me. Now if I want salsa, I only eat it on eggs (whites only) or with celery.
