DAY 71: FORGIVENESS

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Mon, 07/17/2006 - 10:03pm.

I really like the attitude of the Zone Diet.  It relies on the fact that the participant wants to change.  The desire is there and the Zone Diet provides the information and kick start for the motivation.  The participant is not being forced, but coax towards success.

DAY 67:The First Meal of the Day

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Fri, 07/14/2006 - 1:58am.

Last night I bought something new for breakfast.  I got some yogurt and granola to take to work.  I don’t eat breakfast until I get to work, so I need something that can be easily warmed or prepared in the break room.  Both are healthy foods, so I figured I would give it a try.  My only concern was that it would not satisfy my hunger.

DAY 64: A Quick Work Day

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Mon, 07/10/2006 - 11:12pm.

Today blew bye so quick that I barely got to enjoy it.  Everyone has these days, and I know it's everyone’s prayer that these days don’t occur on a day off of work.  My day was definitely on a Monday.  I got to work early and left late, but I barely noticed the time in between.  I will give you a glimpse into a day at work with me.  I thoroughly find my job interesting and challenging.  I usually try to take on as much work as I can to challenge my skills.  I enjoy the deadlines and split decisions that my job entails.  This is not for everyone, but for right now it is for me.

DAY 61: Stage 3 – Living in the Zone

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Fri, 07/07/2006 - 11:37pm.

I have gotten to the point where I am ready for the third and final stage of the Zone Diet.  This stage is the last and longest, since your new eating habits should be a way of life.  At this stage, I have been cooking Zone Diet meals on a consistent basis and have a good understanding of how to plan and prepare my meals.  This really has been working.  I find myself preparing smaller portions as well as eating less and more often.  I have found that snacking throughout the day really helps me from binging.

DAY 52: Alternative Soy

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Wed, 06/28/2006 - 2:06pm.

I got an email from the Zone Diet about substituting soy in my diet.  The only time I have ever had soy was when my Mother bought me soy milk.  My taste buds did not except soy milk as an alternative for cow milk.  The taste is not there.  The gag reflex was, but not the taste.

DAY 50:Okay I Will Try the Fried Apricot Tofu

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Tue, 06/27/2006 - 12:23am.

I give in. There really isn’t a fried apricot tofu recipe, but it would be funny if there was. Just imagine

DAY 47: Keeping In Touch.

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Sat, 06/24/2006 - 12:22am.

You know the Cheers lingo where everyone knows your name and they are always glad you came and they know your favorite beverage and bar snack, well that really is not how the Zone Diet is at all. It does however keep in touch in a different way.

DAY 45: My Own Zone Creations

It’s Alive! It’s Alive!

DAY 42: OOPS

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Sun, 06/18/2006 - 8:30pm.

I did not do so well today on the Zone Diet.  First of all it is a Sunday, and that is a hard day to stay on track anyways.  Breakfast is not that hard, because I usually have an egg, a piece of toast, and some fruit.  That is a healthy breakfast.  After breakfast it is all down hill and fast.

DAY 40:STAGE TWO

Submitted by Live to Eat or ... on Fri, 06/16/2006 - 11:53pm.

I wanted to recap where I was in the Zone Diet process.  I am currently near the end of what the Zone Diet calls Stage Two. I am supposed to be past this stage, but I tend to be a slow learner.
