Day 28

Today closes out my fourth week.  I put on a dress for Sunday services that I bought in the hopes that someday that I would be able to fit into it.  It was only a size 12, and I thought that if I bought a size smaller (maybe two sizes, my size 14's were a bit snug when I started) I would inspire myself to drop a few lbs and get into it.  Today I pulled it out of the back of the closet where it was hid from Danny.  I don't think he would understand me buying something and not wearing it.  Anyway, I wore it and it was actually a bit loose!  I can't believe it, I am down a size, yeah for me.  The next hurdle for me next week is a lunch with Nicky, I hope she sees the difference.

I got a job! YEAH! I start next monday, so watch out world.  I now get to see if my diet smart plan works in the working world.  I am glad since I can't continue to stay home and walk by the pantry or the refrigerator and wonder if I am hungry or just bored.  I am now going to post to the member boards and will give you an update on how that goes.

Day 25

Sorry I haven't written, but I think I have finally found  ajob.  It is not a lateral step from my previous position, but more income into the house will keep me from stress eating.  I also think it will help me reconnect.  If things work out, I will be unemployed no longer.  I like the office and the people seemed very nice and welcoming, they offered me a bottled water and took me to lunch.  I was nervous and didn't eat, but now I am examining everythign I ate.

I have lost 1.5 lbs. this week and my grand total for 25 days is now 9.5 lbs.  I want to throw a party at 10!  Today I want to talk about modified foods.  HEY DSP, YOU NEED TO FOCUS MORE ON MODIFIED FOODS, THESE ARE GREAT; Are you kidding me?  these are great.  On thursday I had a modified breakfast of turkey bacon and cheese grits, a cheeseburger and fries for lunch, and then I had soup, salad, and baked potato for dinner.  I was stuffed and everything I tried was modified and I stayed under my calorie limit and lost weight.

Day 23

I am tired and today was not a good day for me.  I don't really want to post, so I am going to keep this one brief.  So far I have had about 2000 calories, real calories, and I have no excuses.  I am not happy, so I am fighting my cravings tonight as best I can.  I really wish they would call and offer me a position, but until then, it may be a quart of banana pudding ice cream and a spoon tonight, I will let you know what happens.

Day 22

Nicky said she could tell a difference, but it is hard for me to tell yet.  Today I stuck hard to the plan, but this is the week that Nicky told me would be the toughest, "make this one count!" was her motto.

 last couple of days I have tried to hold at 1500 DSP calories but more free foods.  I think it worked, I feel better.  Tried the stir fry chicken recipe I got a couple of days ago from the gang at the plan, it was really good and filling, it was much better than the super syruppy chinese I used to eat.

Note on the newsletter.  The September one was pretty boring, but the new October format is much better, it was much more vibrant and exciting.  I am trying to get Patricia to join, I forwarded the newsletter for her to look at, but I don't think she is ready yet.  I am hoping to lose more weight and get her on the plan so I can help her and help myself like Nicky did.  Next week, I post on the members boards and start interacting.

Decided against my calorie increase based on my weight loss again last night, I have now lost 8 lbs. in 3 weeks.  Next week is going to be crazy, so I don't think I can focus on my diet, even though I am energized-DANNY NOTICED THAT I WAS SKINNIER LAST NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 20

Let me start by saying I am sorry that I haven't written in a few days.  Let's get back on track and let me give you a sense for what is going on.  I have a second interview on Tuesday!!! Yeah!!! Wish me luck. 

Emily had a great Halloween, but Danny and Josh were both a little sick.  I had to keep Josh home yesterday, but he is much better.  It is has been great since the great halloween binge and I lost the 1/2 pound and then some.  The net result has been that I LOST TWO WHOLE POUNDS SINCE THEN, EAT YOUR HEART OUT JENNY CRAIG.  I weighed in this morning at 185.5 lbs, down from my starting weight of 193.  I have lost 7.5 lbs in under 3 weeks.  I guess this isn't a quick weight loss program, but it is really working.

Day 17

The candy binge caught up to me and I am up .5 lbs today and I feel bloated! Skipped the drive through at white castle and I had only free foods and basics for lunch to get back on track.  Got a nice ecard from the gang at DSP but I am missing some of my daily motivational emails, I hope that they are not going to my junk folder but they might. 

As far as calories and such, I am still hanging around 1600 calories a day except for yesterday.  My food diary review went well, but it was recommended that I eat less single portion foods and more basic foods.  The snacktime thing is really gr

Too much candy, couldn't help myself tonight, LOL!  Oh well, thank god DSP is really forgiving, I am sure you are getting tired of me rambling on about my chocolate fetish.  Back to the diet tomorrow

Day 15

I am starting my third week.  I have sent in my food diary and I have a ton of emails from Di I haven't responded to yet.  I am way behind this morning but I am also getting ready for my interview.  The reason I am writing this morning is that I am so excited, I "slipped" into my grey suit that used to be snug on me.  I also had a good day yesterday and I am still at 187 lbs., but I am really excited, I can feel the results and feel so much healthier and happy, it just took some discipline and some encouragement.
