Day 14

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Sun, 10/29/2006 - 2:57pm.

Amazing! another lb. down since friday, bringing my total weight loss in two weeks to 6 lbs, I am now 187 lbs this morning.  I really feel much more energy and more confident.  I have another interview too!

Rather than go into my dishes and what I ate today, I am going to comment on weighing in twice a day.  At first I thought it was the dumbest thing of all, but I have went over to the other side on this one.  I thought that my weight would fluctuate with various bodily functions and what I ate, which is somewhat true but I get a TRUE measure of my weight since I am constantly weighing myself and I do not see the fluctuations as a problem since they are quickly revised with the next weigh in.  Yesterday I thought I had gained a half pound, but I got on the scale last night and the half pound gain was gone and I was back on track.  Then this morning I had lost a pound from friday.  It all worked out.  if I had only weighed in once in a month, then my weight could have been the wrong weight and I would be stuck with that weight and not the true weight, which I see 9 out of 10 times that I weigh.  I think that it is just an excuse for people not to weigh in and JUSTIFY THEIR WEIGHT AND BAD HABITS.

Day 12

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Fri, 10/27/2006 - 5:21pm.

My setback wasn't as bad as I thought, I lost another lb. and I have lost 5 lbs. in less than two weeks.  I think I got it.  The free foods thing saved me yesterday, I have to work on the chocolate thing.

One last thing, the clothes are really loose today, I feel skinnier for the first time.

Day 11

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Thu, 10/26/2006 - 3:19pm.

I had a minor setback this morning, I got into the halloween candy.  I am already at my calorie limits so it looks like free foods for the rest of the day, I don't know what happened, but I think the search is getting to me.  Bummer.

Day 10

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Wed, 10/25/2006 - 9:19pm.

Alot of things going on, but I wanted to start by saying thank you for the fanmail.  Now, let's get through some random thoughts.

I am not to simply write on the number of calories or what I had to eat each day, the sponsors of the site would hate that since I would lose all readership.  I am to write on what I think, what the program offers and doesn't offer and what I feel.  With that, I try to mix it up so it is not boring.

Today I lost another 1/2 lb. for a total of 4 lbs.  My DSP calories yesterday were 1510 and today 1620.  I still have had no real problems, although it is early , I completely understand why Nicky did well, it really is easy and you really have to want to screw up to screw up.

Day 9

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Tue, 10/24/2006 - 10:41am.

No weight loss yesterday, but not all days can be losers, or winners, I guess.  I got into a pair of jeans last night as I read the Sunday paper looking for want ads (it is getting depressing, but I am optimistic).  I am trying to schedule some time with a headhunter this week. Anyway, back to the jeans, I have thought they were snug, especially when I was retaining water, but last night, they were a bit loose!  This I like!  I think I saw my first progress.

I sent in my weekly food diary like I was supposed to.  Part of the program is that you track your calories everyday for a week and at the end of the week, you send it in to be reviewed and then they send you an email with recommendations or whatever you need to do to lose weight.  I was honest as I could pencil whipped it and not shown the wine or anything like that, but I am trying to follow it religiously to either determine if it doesn’t work, then why not, or let you know how I lost my weight.  Either way, I am being as honest as I can.   So I got my report back.  It was encouraging and positive and supportive, but the support team (barry?) noted that I needed to eat more free foods.  I thought I was but here is the quote:

Day 8

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 3:46pm.

I didn't lose any more weight this morning and I haven't heard back from my interview last week so this week is to continue with my diet smart plan and to fill out as many applications and get my resume into the hands of some decision makers.  Emily has a halloween pagent so I will have that, but we have to get focused.

Total weight lose for week one was 3.5 lbs.  At this rate, I will be at my target weight by new years (I hope).  I feel better, but I actually cannot see any results in the mirror.  I guess this is what they call water weight.  Yesterday I had 1520 DSP calories and about 1700 real calories.  I only had two days last week where I went to bed hungry.  I really think the after dinner snack really helps.

Day Seven

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Sun, 10/22/2006 - 11:02pm.

Shocked.  That is all I can say.  I hit the scale this morning and I under 190 lbs. I weighed in at 189.5 lb.  One more day to go and I have already lost 3.5 lbs. this week!!!!

Here is some of my thoughts.  I like the weighing in twice a day.  I thought I would hate it and it was silly, but it has worked and it works mentally on me.  the idea of the free foods, if I haven't already beaten this into the ground is excellent.  The idea that hunger motivates you to eat the right things as you look to lose weight is a great idea.  I like that you can anything you want, then when you run out of calories, you resort to free foods.  I also like the daily emails I get.  Those are huge to me.  It helps to get one each day.

Day Five

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Fri, 10/20/2006 - 1:48pm.

I weighed in this morning at 190.5 lbs! YEAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope to be under 190 by this weekend.  I am wasting away to nothing.  Total weight loss has been 2 1/2 lbs.  Calories yesterday were 1580, but my actual calories were a little under 1700.  This plan is so cool, when you are hungry, you eat free foods and basic foods and then walk away for a while.  By the way, I haven't broken a sweat and still losing weight.

No major hiccups yet, I did have that glass of wine.

Day 3

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Wed, 10/18/2006 - 10:42pm.

The interview went ok, let's wait and see.  I hit the scales tonight at 191.5, so another half lb. down, total of 1 1/2 lbs in 3 days.  My calories today were 1610, up from 1580 yesterday, and up from 1540 on Monday.  So far, so good.  The plan does seem to be working, today was the hardest day, but this plan certainly is the easiest diet I have ever been on.  I had to substitute one thing on my daily menu today and it cost me about 50 calories, but I made it through a rough spell after the interview.  I don't think it hurts me to be a little over eight times my body weight.  I certainly am seeing the results, so I will keep it going a little longer.

Day two

Submitted by Janetcooper07 on Tue, 10/17/2006 - 10:32am.

I weighed in at 192 lbs. this morning.  I also have more good news, I am going on a good interview tomorrow morning for a sales trainer at a call center.  Yeah, it isn’t traditional marketing, but I need to find something to re-engage myself.  I got a great motivational email, nice touch! I am supposed to get one each and every day for the next 90 days.  My weight loss total is now 1 lb. from my starting weight, so I have another 47 lbs. to go.  Anyway, here is the recap of my day yesterday.

Breakfast: oatmeal with cinnamon

Midmorning: banana and a protein bar

Lunch: turkey sandwich on lite bread, ½ cup chicken noodle soup, lite chips, pickle, apple
